For healthcare professionals & researchers
The technical detail, without the marketing layer.
This section assumes professional background. It covers product information, scientific documentation, storage and handling, ordering, research and regulatory questions.
The resources in this section are intended for licensed healthcare professionals, researchers, laboratories and organisations qualified to evaluate, acquire and handle biologic materials. They are not intended for the general public, are not medical advice, and are not promotional claims about any product's safety or effectiveness.

What you can request
Everything below routes to a person who can answer specification and documentation questions directly.
Product information
Full specification for a specific product: category, source, intended use, designation, manufacturer, processing, storage, lot identification and expiration.
Scientific documentation
The documentation that accompanies a product. Which documents are available for a given product depends on the product itself and its regulatory pathway.
Storage & handling
Temperature ranges, containers, stability conditions, transit monitoring, receipt verification and what to do if a shipment arrives outside its required conditions.
Ordering
Account setup, eligibility verification, order process, lead times, shipping method and receipt requirements.
Research inquiries
Material for defined research use, study support questions, and collaboration inquiries from investigators and research organisations.
Regulatory documentation
The regulatory pathway or classification that applies to a specific product, and what that status does and does not permit.
Storage & handling
Handling is part of the product.
A biologic outside its required range may no longer be what it was, and it will not look any different. That is why conditions, monitoring and documented handoffs are treated as product attributes rather than logistics.
The specific requirements for any individual product are defined by its manufacturer and stated with that product. The guidance below is general.
Refrigerated (a narrow chilled range, monitored continuously); frozen (standard freezer ranges for materials stable when frozen); ultra-low (substantially colder storage where required); and cryogenic (liquid nitrogen ranges, typically for living cell preparations). Which regime applies is product-specific and is not a preference.
The required conditions are maintained continuously from origin to use — through storage, packing, transit, receipt and final storage. A single unmonitored gap can undermine everything before it, which is why temperature monitoring and documented handoffs exist.
Confirm the shipment remained within its required range for the entire journey and that a record exists. Confirm the lot identifier is legible and matches the accompanying paperwork. Confirm the product is within its expiration date for that lot. Record receipt.
Quarantine the material and follow the manufacturer's guidance rather than assuming it is usable. “Probably still fine” is not a standard. Contact us and we will help identify the affected units precisely using lot records.
The handling requirements for each product we make available ship with that product. Our own storage, monitoring and transit specifics are available to qualified professionals on request.
Documentation
What documentation can accompany a product
Which of these apply depends entirely on the specific product and its regulatory pathway. We will tell you which exist for a given product rather than listing everything as though it always does.
Documentation available on request may include:
- Product specification sheet
- Lot-specific release documentation
- Donor screening and consent attestation
- Processing and testing records
- Storage and handling instructions
- Transit temperature record
- Regulatory status statement
- Safety data sheet, where applicable
No certificate, accreditation or attestation is claimed above. Which documents genuinely accompany a given product — and under what conditions they are released — is confirmed in writing for that product.
Frequently asked
Professional questions we get most
No. Biologic products are made available only to professionals and organisations qualified to evaluate and handle them, and only for uses permitted by each product’s applicable regulatory status. If you are a patient, the right conversation is with your own clinician — and our Education Center is free to read in the meantime.
No, and we would be wary of anyone who would. Whether something is appropriate for an individual is a clinical judgement, and whether a product is evidenced for a specific use is a regulatory and scientific question tied to that exact product. We can tell you precisely what a product is, where it came from and what its regulatory status permits.
Products are supplied only for uses consistent with their applicable regulatory status. We do not provide guidance on, or encourage, use outside that status.
That is the point of the documentation. Ask for what you need to evaluate and we will tell you what exists for that product and what can be released before purchase.
Lot identifiers exist so that a specific unit can be traced back through the records associated with it. Contact us with the lot identifier and we will work from the records rather than from generalities.
The scope of research collaboration Verified Biologics participates in needs to be confirmed by the company. Research inquiries are welcome in the meantime and will be answered honestly about what is and is not possible.
